Vivosmart HR? And awful bluetooth earbuds! A review for fitness rookies.

So fitness tracking…. it’s a thing. It’s a very big thing these days, and if you’re reading this then you probably already know that. ¬†Fitbit burst onto the scene in 2008 focusing on health and activity monitoring and made fitness tracking such a “thing” that even your iphone tracks your action stats for health monitoring.

Shottracker! It’s kind of cool.

I got the shottracker with app integration and workout tracking, and while it’s awesome in general it does have some drawbacks. If you’ve been curious about checking one of these out, check the video for my opinion on the matter.

ECX Ruckus 1:24 Scale Unbox and Review

I picked up a new ride at the AMA Expo this weekend. Yes, the R/C aviation expo. I have a few R/C vehicles of varying scales, but the 1:24 scale is perfect for indoor dicking around. I had wanted this truck ever since I heard about it last year and now that I finally have one, does it live up to my expectations? Or my son’s? Or my imaginary uncle’s?

Pebble Time Steel Review Extravaganza!

Last week I finally received my Pebble Time Steel in the mail. I’ve been waiting to get my hands on this for about seven months now. I had it delivered to my work office as I couldn’t risk it being stolen or lost. My hands were trembling as I opened the box. My colleague eyed me from across the room but said nothing. He knew that I had to immediately open this box and play with my new toy. The box within the shipping box looked like retail packaging. It was nice and compact. I carefully ripped the box open and powered up my new watch. I was immediately prompted to connect the watch to my smartphone. Once that finished I had to wait a few minutes while the watch searched and downloaded the latest firmware update. As the progress bar slowly moved across it’s beautiful color screen I realized that just a few years earlier I was at this very same job about to invest in something called a smartwatch…
